ZENECIA DOYLE Zenecia (Necia) Byerly Doyle of Norwell, MA, formerly of Westport, CT passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. For almost 31 years she was the beloved wife of the late Richard J. Doyle. She is survived by Richard J. Doyle, Jr. of Easton Connecticut and his wife Susan, Michael D. Doyle of Dover, MA and his wife Gina, Timothy C. Doyle of Pepperell, MA and his wife Catherine, Mary Catherine French of Herndon, VA and her husband Daniel and Zenecia D. O’Neill of Hingham, MA and her husband Raymond. She was also the loving grandmother of thirteen grandchildren. Necia was born in New London, CT on September 11, 1933 to David and Mary Byerly. She grew up in Middletown, CT and attended Connecticut College. Necia met her husband in Hartford, CT and after traveling the globe for Dick’s work they finally settled in Westport where they raised their five children. She was known to all her friends for her generosity, warmth, and sense of humor. Her family was the cornerstone of her life. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday, July 7, from 5 – 7 p.m. in the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road East, Westport, CT. Services will be held at St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 8 at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery in Westport, CT. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Necia’s favorite charity, Wounded Warrior Project.
